Senior Accountant

About the role

Smile Restore Dental Clinics is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to lead financial reporting, budgeting and accounting operations across its Accra and Tema clinics. The role involves ensuring accurate financial records, internal controls and providing insights to support management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable and reconcile patient payments.
• Conduct cash, bank, mobile‑money and POS reconciliations and monthly bank statements.
• Develop annual and monthly budgets and financial forecasts.
• Oversee payroll accounting, PAYE, SSNIT and tax compliance.
• Maintain strong internal financial controls and review cashier transactions.
• Support procurement, supplier payments and prepare documentation for external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum five years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a hospital, dental clinic or multi‑branch business.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICA Ghana or CIMA is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software.
