Senior Assistant Internal Auditor

About the role

Koforidua Technical University is seeking a Senior Assistant Internal Auditor to support the Internal Auditor in managing the university's internal audit function. The role requires high standards of judgment, initiative, precision and professionalism within the finance and audit domain.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Internal Auditor in overall management and administration of the internal audit office.
• Ensure compliance with the Technical University Act, 2016 (Act 922) and other national finance regulations.
• Prepare and submit position papers, value‑added reports, memoranda and other documentation for external assessors.
• Support audit planning, execution, and follow‑up activities.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant with a minimum research Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least six (6) years of experience as an Assistant Internal Auditor in a university or comparable institution.
• Analytical, critical thinker, result‑oriented, innovative and visionary.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills; strong team player.

Required skills

• Computer literacy and proficiency with accounting/auditing software applications.
• Strong IT skills and familiarity with accounting software.
