Senior Assistant Internal Auditor

About the role

Koforidua Technical University seeks a Senior Assistant Internal Auditor to support the Internal Auditor in managing the university’s audit function. The role requires strong judgment, initiative, and professionalism to ensure compliance with the Technical University Act and related financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Internal Auditor in overall management and administration of the audit office.
• Ensure compliance with the Technical University Act, 2016 and other national finance laws.
• Prepare position papers, reports, and memoranda for external assessors.
• Support audit planning, execution, and follow‑up activities.
• Maintain accurate audit documentation and records.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant with a research Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum six (6) years experience as an Assistant Internal Auditor in a university or comparable institution.
• Analytical, critical thinker, result‑oriented, innovative and visionary.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.

• Proficiency with auditing software.
• Strong IT skills and computer literacy.
