About the role
The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Tax will own tax compliance, planning and accounting for Telecel Ghana and its subsidiaries, ensuring adherence to Ghanaian tax law and optimizing the corporate tax position.
Key responsibilities
- Lead internal and external audits and sign‑off statutory financial statements for the group.
- Prepare, review and submit all local tax returns (CIT, VAT, WHT, CST) on time.
- Manage tax audits with the Ghana Revenue Authority, resolve queries and minimise exposure.
- Develop and execute tax planning initiatives and maintain transfer‑pricing documentation.
- Produce monthly/quarterly tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and cash‑flow forecasts.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Active professional tax certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAG or CITG).
- 6–8 years post‑qualification tax experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in the telecommunications sector or with Big‑4 firms serving telecom clients.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of Ghanaian tax legislation (CIT, VAT, CST, WHT).
- Strong expertise in statutory reporting, financial controls and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in transfer‑pricing documentation and compliance.
- Advanced analytical ability to interpret complex tax provisions.
