Senior Plant Operator

About the role

Gold Fields Ghana is looking for an experienced Senior Plant Operator to join its Metallurgy department in Tarkwa. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient daily operation of plant circuits, ensuring compliance with metallurgical standards and environmental safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain control of the operating area in line with established procedures.
• Verify that all circuits are free of hazards before use.
• Report any equipment anomalies, security concerns, or unsafe acts to the supervisor promptly.
• Promote good housekeeping and safety practices throughout the plant.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Junior High School Certificate minimum.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar plant operating role.
• Basic knowledge of external reagent standard operating procedures.
• Understanding of CIL process plant reagent preparation and safe transfer.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Hands‑on attitude with a commitment to achieving results.
• Mobile equipment licence and mine permit are advantageous.
