Shop Manager

About the role

The Shop Manager will lead the daily operations of a security doors retail outlet, driving sales and ensuring excellent customer service. You will manage inventory, supervise staff, and coordinate with logistics to meet business targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day shop operations to ensure smooth functioning.
• Drive sales of security doors and related products to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
• Provide product knowledge and guidance to customers on specifications, materials, and security features.
• Supervise, train, and motivate sales staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Manage stock levels, coordinate with suppliers, and conduct regular inventory checks.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and after‑sales service requests professionally.
• Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to inform pricing and promotional strategies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management.
• Maintain attractive visual merchandising and store displays.
• Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and reconciliation of daily sales.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, contractors, and repeat customers.
• Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with the logistics/installation team.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of retail management experience, preferably in hardware, building materials, or security products.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS software.
• Experience using inventory management systems.
