Short-Form Video Editor

About the role

Ryno is Accra's food and goods delivery platform and is building a content engine that keeps people engaged. It is hiring a full-time Short-Form Video Editor in Accra to turn in-house footage and creator content into engaging TikToks, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

Key responsibilities

• Edit TikToks, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts from in-house footage, plus creator and partner content
• Own the hook: make the first 1-2 seconds compelling
• Shape pacing, sound, captions, text and transitions so each video fits the feed
• Pitch concepts, formats and angles, and push back when a brief will not work
• Turn one shoot into cutdowns, variations and hook tests for organic and paid use
• Stay on top of trends and sounds, knowing when to join in and when to skip
• Work with the videographer, designers, creators and marketing team on campaigns and launches
• Use performance data such as watch time, retention and shares to improve future edits

Required profile

• A short-form portfolio showing views and retention, not just the edits
• A strong editorial eye and creative direction, with opinions on concept, tone and story
• 2+ years editing short-form for brands, creators or agencies
• Great sense of timing, music and sound design
• Deep familiarity with TikTok and Instagram culture in Ghana
• Ability to deliver multiple polished edits a day when needed

Required skills

• Fluency in CapCut and Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• After Effects basics a plus
• Bonus: experience in food, delivery or consumer brands; motion graphics or basic design skills; colour grading skills
