Social Media Intern

About the role

We are seeking a creative Social Media Intern to support Africa Assistance Plan’s communications team. The role is ideal for a recent graduate who wants to use digital storytelling to highlight our work in water, sanitation, youth empowerment and community development across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Create and schedule engaging posts for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms.
• Write captions, short articles and stories that showcase AAP’s impact.
• Design simple graphics using Canva or similar tools.
• Capture photos and videos during field activities and events.
• Monitor audience engagement and prepare basic performance reports.
• Assist with communication and fundraising campaigns.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Public Relations or a related field.
• Strong writing and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms.
• Creative, organized and eager to learn.
• Available to work from our office in Baakoniaba, Sunyani.

Required skills

• Canva for graphic creation.
• Basic photography and video editing.
