Survey Engineer

About the role

The Survey Engineer will lead large‑scale, high‑precision surveying and layout activities for the expansion of the Ghana Glass Factory. This position requires a technically proficient professional to manage spatial measurements, operate advanced surveying equipment, and ensure structural elements align with engineering drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive on‑site surveying and precise layouts to determine building positions, axes, elevations, and control points.
• Establish, calibrate, and maintain the on‑site measurement control network and leveling points for long‑term data consistency.
• Operate total stations, levels, GPS‑RTK and other specialized instruments for layout execution, elevation control, and verification measurements.
• Perform physical measurements for each construction process, verifying dimensions and elevations against blueprints.
• Organise raw measurement data, process it using specialised software, and submit timely results for final surveying documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Surveying Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 + years of hands‑on, on‑site surveying experience in industrial construction.
• Proficiency in operating advanced surveying instruments such as total stations, levels and GPS‑RTK.
• Strong ability to read complex construction drawings and use CAD and measurement data processing software.
• Exceptional attention to detail with rigorous data standards and strong accountability for safety and accuracy.
• Problem‑solving skills to identify discrepancies between site conditions and engineering plans and propose corrective actions.
• Effective collaboration and communication with construction crews and project managers.
