Technical Sales Representative – Construction Solutions

About the role
We are looking for a customer‑focused Sales Representative who will combine technical expertise with strong relationship management to drive sales growth. The role involves on‑site engagement with developers, contractors and project teams, identifying new business opportunities and delivering practical, value‑adding solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct daily site visits and actively prospect to build your own sales pipeline.
- Perform product trials and demonstrations to support adoption and solve technical challenges.
- Provide technical support to developers, contractors and project teams to ensure optimal product performance.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, product recommendations and mix‑optimization solutions.
- Deliver training and technical education on product application and best construction practices.
- Identify sales opportunities for mortars, admixtures and related trading goods to meet revenue targets.
- Assess and drive new product introductions across the Group offering.
- Develop markets for new and existing products through strong customer engagement and technical presentations.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to uncover growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal technical, operations and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and service support.
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on payments to maintain healthy credit control.
Required profile
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil, Materials Engineering or a related field (post‑graduate degree is a plus).
- 1–2 years of experience selling construction products or related materials, with key‑account management and business development exposure.
- Good knowledge of the construction industry, especially the built environment in Ghana and West Africa.
- Strategic orientation and understanding of project‑management principles.
- Strong negotiating, influencing and analytical abilities.
- Fluency in English; French is an added advantage.
