Transport Control Clerk

About the role

The Transport Control Clerk will develop and coordinate driver rosters and fleet movement schedules for airport transfers and pick‑up arrangements across Obuasi, Kumasi and Accra. The role supports plant availability and cost‑effective operations while minimizing operational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Produce work rosters and driver schedules for all transport activities.
• Conduct periodic audits of vehicle and driver documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Generate work requests in SAP for vehicle maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Monitor condition of plant assets, perform preventive checks, and report anomalies for repair.
• Gather and analyse vibration, oil analysis and other data to diagnose rotating machinery issues.

Required profile

• Minimum MET I Certificate and a valid driver’s licence.
• At least 2 years of experience in a transport environment, preferably in mining.
• Experience with document control for vehicle permits and compliance.
• Knowledge of SAP PM module and DVLA regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module.
• Familiarity with DVLA documentation processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Project and Excel.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate complex information and solve problems.
