Treasury Accountant

About the role

GBfoods Africa is seeking a Treasury Accountant to support its treasury function. Reporting to the Treasury Lead, you will help manage cash flow, liquidity, banking activities, and financial risk for a fast‑growing FMCG food company operating across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash balances across all bank accounts and prepare cash position reports.
• Process local and international payment requests, maintain bank relationships, and assist with account administration.
• Support short‑term cash‑flow forecasting and track variances between forecast and actual.
• Perform bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and maintain audit‑ready transaction records.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, internal controls, and support audit processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in treasury, finance, or accounting.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
