Volunteer DevOps Engineer (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)

About the role

Ndel Technologies is seeking a motivated Volunteer DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud‑based systems on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This position provides hands‑on experience across fintech, health‑tech, and civic‑tech initiatives while collaborating with a skilled technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision, and manage infrastructure on OCI.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Automate provisioning and operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code.
• Support containerized applications and orchestration platforms.
• Assist with troubleshooting, incident response, and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment processes and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Recommend and apply best practices for cloud architecture, security, and scalability.

Required profile

• Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automation workflows.
• Knowledge of container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of networking, security groups, load balancers, and cloud security principles.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
