About the role
The Access Manager will support the Head of Value & Access in shaping and executing pricing, market access, and reimbursement strategies for Novartis products in Nigeria and Ghana. This role ensures optimal market entry and sustained uptake by aligning value propositions with local healthcare ecosystems.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Pricing & Market Access (P&MA) strategy and operational plan for the assigned markets.
- Monitor reimbursement and pricing dynamics, identifying risks and opportunities for new product launches.
- Conduct market assessments to map access drivers and craft compelling value stories.
- Support the SSA Head of Value & Access in building pricing strategies and defining market requirements for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to align strategic pricing with country and regional decisions.
- Engage with payers and decision‑makers to gather insights that inform actionable strategies.
- Localize global value dossiers, health‑economic models, and value stories for submission.
- Deliver training on HEOR tools, objection handling, and value story communication.
- Design and execute advocacy activities for priority Novartis brands.
- Represent Novartis in trade associations and policy working groups, leading external advocacy on pricing and access.
Required profile
- University degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, Health Economics or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in market access, reimbursement dossier preparation, external affairs, advocacy, or pricing.
Required skills
- Proven ability to manage external stakeholders in health or pharma settings.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and influence capabilities.
- Experience establishing and managing pricing and market access strategies.
- Excellent communication of value‑story concepts.
- Effective cross‑functional collaboration with internal and external partners.
