About the role

The Dean serves as the head of a faculty or school, reporting directly to the Rector, and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring good governance, and promoting academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the faculty or school and report directly to the Rector.
• Ensure efficient governance, compliance with university policies, and high academic standards.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with industry and external stakeholders to support research and development.
• Attract and manage grants and funding for faculty initiatives.
• Handle crisis situations and uphold the institution’s reputation.

Required profile

• Hold a professional status or equivalent senior academic rank in a comparable institution.
• Be a distinguished scholar with proven ability to motivate and direct academic staff.
• Demonstrate high integrity, leadership qualities, and strong organizational skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, especially in managing crises.
• Show vision, business orientation, and capacity to build industry‑university collaborations.
• Possess maturity, sound judgment, and impartial decision‑making.
• Ability to secure research grants and funding for the faculty.
