Hardware Engineer

About the role

The Hardware Engineer will join GAS CONNECT’s engineering team in Accra to design, develop and test hardware components that support the company’s energy‑technology solutions. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on delivering high‑performance, reliable systems for safety‑critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop circuit schematics and PCB layouts for new hardware products.
• Build prototypes, conduct functional testing, and troubleshoot hardware issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including software, mechanical and systems engineers to ensure product efficiency.
• Maintain detailed documentation of designs, test results and revisions.
• Identify opportunities for hardware optimization and implement upgrades as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in hardware development, circuit design and hardware testing.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of engineering safety protocols and compliance standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
