Biomedical Engineer

About the role

TechnAfrik Technologies Ghana is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to join its engineering team and support healthcare and laboratory clients. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting and documenting biomedical and laboratory equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and perform maintenance on biomedical and laboratory devices.
• Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance records and technical recommendations.
• Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, laboratories and internal engineering teams to schedule and execute service activities.
• Support preventive maintenance planning and promote safe equipment operation.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in biomedical engineering or medical equipment maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong technical and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical environment is an advantage.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards for medical equipment is beneficial.
