Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor – Process Plant

About the role

The Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor will lead the E&I team at Newmont's process plant, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing unplanned maintenance. The role involves supervising technicians, coordinating with maintenance groups, and maintaining safe working conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise electrical and instrumentation work for breakdowns, planned maintenance and shutdowns, including critical path activities.
• Use diagnostic instruments such as RTD/Thermocouple simulators, HART communicators, dead‑weight testers, Modiewak and multimeters for troubleshooting and calibration.
• Manage contractors through work orders, service orders, purchase tracking and invoice approvals, ensuring preferred suppliers and rate compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Newmont’s Health, Safety and Environmental standards and act as a role model for safety practices.
• Coordinate with purchasing and stores to secure parts, supplies and resources needed for timely maintenance execution.

Required profile

• Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering with at least 4 years of experience in a process plant or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, industry standards, work‑management processes and planning/scheduling.
• Proficiency with CMMS (SAP), ability to prioritize jobs and interpret electrical engineering drawings.
• Good command of MS Office Suite and commitment to company values and teamwork.
