English Teacher (Full-time, On-site)

About the role

Accra Community School is seeking a full-time English Teacher to join its K-12 campus in Accra. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, learner-centered English lessons that align with the school’s American and Lebanese curricula.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver effective English lessons for primary and secondary students.
• Ensure lessons meet curriculum standards and promote inclusivity.
• Monitor student progress, assess performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers on interdisciplinary projects and school events.
• Participate in professional development activities to continuously improve instructional practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Relevant teaching certification or professional accreditation is highly valued.
• Demonstrated proficiency in English teaching methodologies and curriculum design.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Patience, adaptability and a genuine passion for learning and teaching.
