Senior Consultant – GEOP Education Outcomes Fund (Remote, Ghana)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Senior Consultant to act as the Education Outcomes Fund’s primary in‑country representative for the Ghana Education Outcomes Project (GEOP). This two‑month remote assignment is open to Ghanaian nationals and focuses on driving stakeholder engagement and advancing key workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the GEOP programme in Ghana.
• Coordinate programme activities, monitor progress, and ensure delivery of agreed priority workstreams.
• Engage with government officials, NGOs, and other stakeholders to secure collaboration and technical input.
• Provide strategic guidance on programme design, implementation, and results‑based financing mechanisms.
• Prepare concise reports and updates for UNICEF and partner agencies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Development, Education, Public Policy, Social Science or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including program design and implementation in the education sector.
• Demonstrated experience working in Ghana’s education system and with the Ghanaian government.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
