Heavy Equipment Electrician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Electrician to join our team in Accra. The role involves maintaining and repairing the electrical systems of a range of heavy machinery to ensure reliable operation on site.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in heavy equipment, including wiring, batteries, starters, alternators, sensors and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and regular electrical inspections to minimise downtime.
• Use diagnostic tools and wiring diagrams to identify and resolve electronic issues.
• Replace defective components and ensure all work complies with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

Required profile

• Technical Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Electrical or a related field.
• Entry‑level candidates with a strong willingness to learn, or candidates with up to 3 years of experience in heavy equipment electrical maintenance.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and follow safety procedures.
