Lead Long Term Planning – Open Pit

About the role

Lead the development and execution of integrated open‑pit long‑term mine plans that support five‑year and Life‑of‑Mine business objectives. You will guide a team to deliver accurate budgets, optimise cut‑off grades and integrate exploration results into strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and maintain long‑term mine designs, detailed five‑year production plans and closure activities.
• Lead site‑specific planning team, conduct scenario analysis and present plans for stakeholder review.
• Coordinate mineral reserves and resources estimation in line with international reporting standards.
• Integrate ESG considerations into planning and update mine extensions based on market changes.

Required profile

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related field; recognised Qualified Person for reserves reporting.
• 5‑8 years hands‑on open‑pit mine planning experience.
• Proven people‑leadership, stakeholder influence and ability to manage multidisciplinary priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MineSight, Vulcan or Deswik planning software.
• Advanced knowledge of functional cost modelling and open‑pit design optimisation.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and analysis.
