Level Crossing Attendant – Railway Safety (6 Openings)

About the role

The Ghana Railway Development Authority is hiring six Level Crossing Attendants to ensure safe coordination between rail and road users at crossings in Tema. Attendants will be responsible for managing gates and signals, monitoring train movements, and promptly reporting any safety concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Operate crossing gates and signalling equipment to control vehicular, pedestrian and train traffic.
• Monitor train movements and maintain accurate logs of crossings and incidents.
• Identify and report faults, risks or safety incidents to the appropriate authorities without delay.
• Maintain a high level of alertness and safety awareness at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum Senior High School (SHS) education or equivalent.
• Good communication skills.
• High level of alertness and safety awareness.
• Experience in traffic control, railway operations or security roles is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Tema.
