Driver Mechanic – Fleet Management & Maintenance

About the role

World Vision is looking for a skilled Driver Mechanic to manage and maintain its project fleets. The role supports field operations by ensuring safe transport of staff, equipment, and visitors while keeping all vehicles in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Drive internal staff, external partners, and visitors to field locations safely and punctually.
• Oversee routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of all vehicles to ensure reliability.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate transport schedules for personnel and materials, supporting field teams with equipment logistics.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with safety regulations and World Vision’s standards, conducting regular inspections.
• Track fleet usage, mileage, fuel consumption and maintenance activities, providing performance reports.
• Monitor the budget for fleet maintenance and repairs, procuring spare parts and consumables as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a driver and mechanic, with a strong focus on vehicle upkeep.
• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle types used.
• Ability to work in field environments and coordinate logistics across departments.
• Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
