Painter for Hotel Facilities

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a Painter to maintain and refresh the appearance of hotel walls, ceilings, and furniture across its Accra and Tema locations. The role involves applying finishes, preparing surfaces, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, primers, and sealers using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces for protection and post appropriate paint signage.
• Clean and store painting tools and equipment after use.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors as needed.
• Follow all company safety, security, and quality policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school education.
• At least 1 year of related painting experience.
• Ability to work at heights, bend, twist, lift up to 50 lb, and stand for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and ability to interact courteously with guests.

Required skills

• Use of brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• Surface preparation techniques such as sanding, stripping, and abrasive blasting.
• Basic knowledge of primers, sealers, and finish coats.
