Remote Biology Expert – $250 per Task

About the role

We are seeking a remote Biology expert to create and solve challenging biology problems that test the limits of large language models. This short‑term contract (3 months) offers $250 per completed task and requires a commitment of up to 40 hours per week with a 4‑hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time.

Key responsibilities

• Design and solve advanced biology problems to evaluate AI capabilities.
• Develop step‑by‑step solutions with rigorous, clear reasoning.
• Collaborate with LLM researchers to align problem types with evaluation goals.
• Help define new benchmarks based on curricula from early undergraduate to PhD level.
• Analyze complex biological questions using a structured, logical approach.
• Explain concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, or simulations.
• Provide detailed feedback and annotations for AI evaluation workflows.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field, or currently pursuing a PhD/Post‑doc.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Creative, lateral thinking and self‑motivation.
• Excellent written communication and remote collaboration skills.
• Reliable desktop or laptop with internet access.
