About the role
The Administrative Officer will provide efficient, cost‑effective administrative support to UNICEF’s Accra office, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and overseeing the administrative team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the implementation and continuous improvement of administrative policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Advise senior management on administrative planning, risk mitigation and process optimisation.
- Manage contract administration, procurement and oversight of office services.
- Support strategic budget planning, monitoring and control, including cost estimates and resource allocation.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day administrative operations, ensuring smooth office functioning and compliance with UNICEF regulations.
Required profile
- Proven experience in administrative management within an international or public‑sector environment.
- Strong knowledge of administrative policies, budgeting and contract management.
- Ability to lead and supervise administrative staff and to work collaboratively with senior managers.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a focus on compliance and efficiency.
