Bilingual Secretary (English/French)

About the role
The Alliance Française in Accra seeks a bilingual secretary to support daily office operations and serve as a communication bridge between English‑speaking visitors and French‑speaking staff. The role combines administrative duties with translation and liaison responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls, screen and direct them, and perform general administrative tasks.
- Receive visitors and students, providing accurate information and assistance.
- Take and relay messages accurately between parties.
- Organise meetings, prepare agendas and write minutes.
- Translate documents and communications between English and French.
- Liaise between the Pedagogy office and external partners.
- Place orders and manage office supplies.
Required profile
- Minimum HND in Bilingual Secretaryship or an equivalent qualification.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French.
- Good knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
- Understanding of customer service principles and practices.
