Duty Supervisor – Airport Operations

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Duty Supervisor to lead airport operations on a shift basis in Accra. You will coordinate passenger and aircraft handling, ensure safety and security compliance, and drive service quality for all guests, including VIP and special‑needs travelers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee passenger and aircraft handling operations, adhering to checklists, brand standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage safety and security outcomes, conduct hazard identification and report incidents.
• Coordinate VIP/MAAS, PRM and other special‑category guest requirements, including flight editing and special services.
• Liaise with Guest Control, Network Control and SOC to mitigate operational disruptions.
• Execute emergency response, disruption planning, diversion handling and business continuity procedures.
• Drive on‑time performance, monitor delays and report accurately.
• Promote airport ancillary sales and ensure process compliance.
• Monitor customer‑service KPIs and ensure compliance with local authority documentation.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent industry experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in service, hospitality, airline or retail environments, with strong knowledge of aviation or airport policies.
• Proven supervisory experience in a high‑pressure, multicultural shift setting.
• Mature personality with excellent communication and decision‑making skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of airport safety, security and regulatory standards.
• Experience with VIP/MAAS and PRM handling procedures.
• Ability to manage on‑time performance and delay reporting.
