Driver Grade III

About the role

The Driver Grade III will support the Transport Department by moving materials, equipment and staff, and ensuring vehicles are maintained in good condition. The role involves routine maintenance checks, minor repairs, and reporting on vehicle usage.

Key responsibilities

• Convey materials, equipment, and staff to required areas, ensuring timely delivery to support operational activities.
• Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and in good working condition, performing regular cleaning and inspections.
• Ensure vehicle repairs are carried out properly by coordinating with maintenance personnel and following repair procedures.
• Perform daily routine maintenance checks, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and safety equipment.
• Perform minor repair works on the vehicles, such as fixing minor mechanical issues and replacing worn parts.
• Prepare and submit vehicle monitoring reports, documenting usage, mileage, and any incidents.

Required profile

• WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE/GCE Ordinary Level with credits in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, demonstrating basic academic competence.
• NVTI Proficiency in a mechanical‑related field or BECE NVTI Certificate I/II (Auto Related) / Motor Vehicle Mechanic, providing technical knowledge for vehicle upkeep.
• Valid Driving Licence ‘C’, authorising operation of the designated vehicle class.
• At least one year relevant post‑qualification experience in a reputable organization, showing practical familiarity with transport duties.
• Age not more than 35 years at the time of applying, complying with the employer’s age requirement.
