Electrical Technician (Motorbike Rider)

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Technician who can also operate a motorbike to perform installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems across our sites in Accra and Tema. The role involves close coordination with power vendors, engineers and client sites while ensuring strict health and safety compliance. The technician will also support health‑and‑safety initiatives and guarantee adherence to company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and rectify electrical items, power generation equipment and DC devices.
• Coordinate with NMC, power vendors and engineers for scheduled preventive and routine maintenance.
• Carry out preventive, routine and corrective maintenance on generators and diesel‑filled sites.
• Monitor and report on preventive maintenance (PM) and routine maintenance (RM) activities.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, including the presence of fire buckets, fire extinguishers and other electrical safety equipment.
• Rectify or remove potential electrical hazards and ensure compliance with workmanship standards.
• Document and report any incidents or accidents promptly.
• Perform driving duties and travel to client sites on a motorbike, including monitoring diesel filling.
• Maintain company tools and resources and meet KPI specifications.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid motorbike riding ability and driver’s licence.
• Minimum three years experience in power generation, power wiring or DC device maintenance.
• Good knowledge of GSM installation procedures.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as a team player.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to health‑and‑safety standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electrical testing and measurement tools.
• Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Motorbike operation for site travel.
