Expat Structural Engineer – High‑Rise Residential Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to lead technical delivery on high‑rise residential and mixed‑use projects in the Accra & Tema region. The role involves ensuring structural quality, safety and compliance from design through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret structural drawings, calculations and specifications for multi‑storey buildings.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants and other engineering disciplines.
• Provide on‑site technical support, resolve structural issues and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Oversee quality assurance, structural integrity checks and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Contribute to project planning, risk assessment and decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in high‑rise construction, preferably residential or mixed‑use.
• Professional engineering registration or accreditation is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Reinforced concrete design.
• Steel structure design.
• Complex structural systems analysis.
• Interpretation of structural drawings and calculations.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, structural codes and industry standards.
