Factory Manager – Rigid Packaging Operations

About the role

The Factory Manager will lead the rigid packaging production facility, overseeing the manufacturing of PET preforms, closers, IML, thin‑wall items, blow‑gallons, crates and offset‑printed products. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operations while meeting production targets and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily production schedules to achieve business targets.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, including supervisors, technicians and operators, to drive operational excellence.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as OEE, defect rates, and cost per unit.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and industry certification requirements (ISO, GMP, HACCP).
• Oversee maintenance programs, preventive and predictive maintenance, and equipment upgrades.
• Manage budgets, control operating costs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics and quality assurance to maintain inventory levels and product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Operations Management; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in large‑scale or multinational production environments.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, quality control, safety regulations and lean manufacturing principles.

Required skills

• Production management software proficiency.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAP and ORION ERP systems.
• Ability to implement and sustain continuous‑improvement initiatives.
