Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will act as the embedded financial advisor for Genser Energy sites in the Western Region of Ghana. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will ensure operational decisions are supported by accurate financial analysis and lead budgeting and expense control for the assigned sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial advice to Plant Managers and Department Heads, translating results and KPIs into actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, OPEX and CAPEX budgets, and conduct scenario planning.
• Analyse site performance, identify variances, and support business cases and capital investments.
• Review and approve all site expenses, strengthening internal controls and monitoring budget adherence.
• Utilise ERP (Sage X3) and BI tools (Power BI) to produce dashboards, real‑time cost tracking and contribute to group consolidation reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in FP&A, cost control and financial business partnering, preferably in Oil & Gas, Power or heavy industry.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, CFA or CPA is advantageous.
• Multicultural experience required; proficiency in French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically Sage X3.
• Experience using Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar financial software.
