General Manager, Finance and Administration

About the role

Phastor Ltd, a manufacturer and seller of concrete products for the construction industry, is seeking a qualified, diligent, and commercially minded General Manager, Finance and Administration. Reporting directly to the Director, the role oversees six branches and combines strong financial, administrative, and strategic leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and monitor operations across all six branches, providing direction to each Branch Manager.
• Manage financial controls, process payments, reconcile accounts and ensure timely, accurate financial records.
• Perform internal audit duties, conduct spot checks and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Ghana Revenue Authority requirements and other regulatory obligations.
• Oversee administration and human‑resources records, maintaining consistent documentation across branches.
• Prepare regular management reports, monitor financial performance and alert senior management to risks.
• Advise on business strategy with emphasis on financial planning, sustainability, risk and growth.

Required profile

• Age 40 years or over, qualified Chartered Accountant with membership in a recognised professional accounting body.
• At least three years’ experience in a senior finance, administration, operations or general management role, preferably in an SME.
• Experience in concrete‑product manufacturing, construction supply or a project‑based environment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, financial controls, budgeting and regulatory compliance.

• Advanced use of spreadsheets.
• Ability to work with digital financial information systems.
