Hardware Technician – Mining Systems

About the role

The Hardware Technician will provide on‑site and remote support for Hexagon’s mining systems, ensuring successful deployment, configuration and maintenance of hardware at customer mine sites. You will work closely with project managers and engineers to deliver solutions on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Define and review project proposals and plans with customers and internal teams.
• Execute project phases, load configurations, upgrades and operating systems onto field equipment and servers following change‑management procedures.
• Maintain project documentation, service agreements and a database of deployed systems and configurations.
• Provide first‑line troubleshooting, hardware configuration and software setup for mining hardware.
• Act as escalation point for technical issues beyond the scope of project engineers.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure efficient, on‑schedule deployment.
• Monitor market trends and recommend new solutions to improve project cycles.

Required profile

• Strong high‑level knowledge of mining hardware systems.
• Ability to work independently on site and remotely.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with customers, engineers and project managers.
