Health and Safety Supervisor

About the role

The Health and Safety Supervisor will lead the implementation of occupational safety programmes across Keda Ghana's ceramic manufacturing plant. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure a safe working environment, compliance with Ghanaian regulations, and continuous improvement of safety performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments and audits.
• Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training, inductions and awareness sessions for all staff.
• Ensure compliance with the Ghana Labour Act and relevant safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate safety records, documentation and reporting systems.
• Support emergency response planning, drills and coordination with external agencies.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of safety management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian safety regulations and international standards.
• Professional certification such as NEBOSH or IOSH is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
