Landscape Designer

About the role

Grundy Group is looking for a creative Landscape Designer to develop innovative designs for residential, commercial and other projects across Accra and the Tema region. The role combines concept development, site assessment and close coordination with architects, engineers and contractors to deliver sustainable, high‑quality landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative landscape concepts and detailed designs for a variety of projects.
• Prepare plans, drawings, layouts and design proposals using industry‑standard software.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to understand project requirements and conditions.
• Select appropriate plants, trees, materials and other landscape elements.
• Prepare specifications, cost estimates and material requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Supervise implementation to ensure designs are executed according to approved plans.
• Monitor progress, timelines and quality standards.
• Ensure proper maintenance, sustainability and compliance with environmental, health and safety standards.
• Provide regular project updates and reports to management.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in landscape design or a related role.
• Strong creativity, design sensibility and ability to interpret architectural drawings.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and project coordination skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with landscape design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and Lumion.
• Good knowledge of plants, horticulture, landscaping materials and construction techniques.
