Legal Director – Corporate & Regulatory Affairs

About the role
The Legal Director will lead and manage all legal affairs for Expresso Ghana, providing strategic legal advice to senior management and ensuring full regulatory compliance across the telecom sector.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the legal function and advise senior management on corporate and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate operational and commercial contracts.
- Ensure business activities comply with telecom laws, industry regulations and employment legislation.
- Manage relationships with governmental agencies, the National Communications Authority and other regulators.
- Oversee external counsel, litigation, corporate entity maintenance and legal due diligence for projects.
- Provide legal secretarial services and counsel the HR department on employment issues.
- Represent the company at the Telecoms Chamber and act as the proxy MD where required.
Required profile
- LLB (or higher) with a Barrister at Law certificate and membership of the Ghana Bar Association.
- Minimum 8 years of legal practice, at least 4 years in corporate/telecom environments.
- Proven ability to conduct legal research, draft pleadings and manage litigation.
- Strong leadership, independent judgment and high integrity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
