Maintenance Manager (Ghana Fleet)

About the role

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations of the company’s vehicle fleet in Ghana. The role focuses on minimizing turnaround times, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage maintenance expenditure and negotiate pricing with external suppliers and dealerships.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and implement system upgrades to meet customer service needs.
• Negotiate and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for each supplier profile.
• Maintain technical relationships with dealerships, stay updated on new products, and conduct daily risk assessments.
• Handle warranty and policy claims to reduce unnecessary costs.
• Oversee vehicle inspections, body repairs, terminations, and disposal processes.
• Coordinate insurance claim support, monitor turnaround times, and ensure timely assistance to customers.
• Prepare and submit invoices, quotations, and termination documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fleet or vehicle maintenance management.
• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and dealerships.
• Ability to analyse costs, manage budgets, and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Excellent organizational skills to coordinate inspections, repairs, and terminations across multiple sites.
• Effective communication with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
