Physics Professor – Remote Task‑Based Contract

About the role
This is a short‑term, task‑based contract for a physics expert to design and solve challenging problems that evaluate large language models (LLMs). The position is fully remote and requires up to 40 hours per week with a 4‑hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time.
Key responsibilities
- Design and solve physics problems that test and improve LLM performance.
- Create clear, step‑by‑step solutions with well‑articulated reasoning.
- Collaborate with AI researchers to develop evaluation tasks targeting model weaknesses.
- Help define new physics evaluation benchmarks from undergraduate to PhD level.
- Provide detailed annotations, feedback, and reasoning for AI evaluation workflows.
Required profile
- Master’s, PhD, or post‑doctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience explaining complex physics concepts clearly.
- Excellent written communication and ability to work independently.
- Access to a reliable desktop/laptop and internet connection.
