Professor – Faculty of Computing and Information Systems

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a senior academic to join its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The appointment is at the rank of Professor and may be in any of the department areas listed, including Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related interdisciplinary fields.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes in the chosen department.
• Supervise student research projects, theses and dissertations.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in recognised journals.
• Provide community service and engage with industry partners.
• Contribute to faculty development, curriculum design and academic governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Current appointment as Professor at a recognised university, or at least three years as Associate Professor with a minimum of fifteen peer‑reviewed publications.
• Evidence of scholarly impact and leadership in the field.
• Three referees with full contact details.
