Regional Chief Technology Officer – Anglophone West Africa

About the role

The Regional Chief Technology Officer (Regional CTO) for Anglophone West Africa will lead technology delivery, performance and resilience across Ecobank’s five AWA affiliates. Reporting jointly to the Group CTIO and the Regional Executive, the role ensures alignment with group strategy while addressing regional business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the regional technology strategy in line with the Group agenda.
• Oversee integration, product development, channel delivery and support & maintenance for all AWA affiliates.
• Manage the regional cybersecurity posture, technology risk and operational resilience.
• Own the regional technology budget (operating and investment).
• Lead Country IT Heads and coordinate regulatory technology engagement across the region.
• Represent Ecobank with regional regulators, strategic technology partners and major vendors.

Required profile

• Proven senior technology leadership experience, preferably in banking or fintech.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑country technology operations and budgets.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior business leaders and regulators.
• Track record of delivering large‑scale integration, product and channel initiatives.
