Registrar (Chief Administrative Officer)

About the role

The Registrar serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of Valley View University, reporting directly to the Vice‑Chancellor. The role oversees the overall administration of the university and ensures the implementation of policies approved by the Academic Board, Welfare Services Board and University Council.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all administrative functions across academic, fiscal, social and spiritual domains.
• Develop and execute strategies that align with the university’s vision and emerging global trends in higher education.
• Supervise senior administrative staff, fostering productivity and a collaborative work environment.
• Advise the senior management team on strategic direction and policy implementation.
• Represent the university in the Seventh‑day Adventist higher‑education sector within Ghana.

Required profile

• Maximum age of 55 years.
• Master’s degree or higher.
• At least 12 years of post‑qualification experience in a reputable tertiary institution or comparable organization.
• Regular standing as a Seventh‑day Adventist.
• Demonstrated leadership, administrative acumen and ability to drive strategic initiatives.
