Remote Machine Learning Engineer (Benchmark Projects)

About the role

Turing is a research accelerator that partners with frontier AI labs and enterprises. We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to lead benchmark‑driven evaluation projects on real‑world ML systems, bridging research and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Work with production‑grade ML codebases to support benchmark evaluation tasks.
• Build, run, and modify model training, evaluation, and inference pipelines.
• Prepare datasets, features, and metrics for benchmarking and validation.
• Debug, refactor, and improve ML systems for correctness and performance.
• Evaluate model behavior, failure modes, and edge cases relevant to benchmarks.
• Write clean, reproducible, well‑documented Python code for ML workflows.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with researchers and engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Software Engineer with an ML focus.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data and ML workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with model training, evaluation, and inference pipelines.
• Solid understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning, evaluation metrics, and optimization.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Ability to navigate and modify complex, production‑like ML codebases.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
