Sales Officer – Nutrition & Pharmaceuticals

About the role

The Sales Officer – Nutrition & Pharmaceuticals will drive sales, market penetration and distribution of the company’s pharmaceutical, nutritional, healthcare and related products across Ghana. The role requires a commercially‑driven professional with solid knowledge of the pharma and nutrition sectors and the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacies, hospitals and distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across pharmaceutical, nutrition, healthcare, pharmacy, hospital and retail markets.
• Generate leads, convert prospects into customers and maintain a strong pipeline.
• Conduct regular customer visits, sales calls and product presentations to healthcare professionals and business partners.
• Negotiate sales and commercial terms within approved company policies and follow up on quotations, orders and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate customer records, monitor purchasing patterns and ensure product availability in assigned territories.
• Build and sustain relationships with pharmacies, hospitals, distributors, wholesalers and retailers.
• Support distributors with product information, monitor performance and help expand the distribution network.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nutrition, Food Science, Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years’ experience in pharmaceutical, nutrition or healthcare sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Experience dealing with pharmacies, hospitals, healthcare professionals, distributors or retail channels, preferably in Ghana.
• Strong knowledge of the company’s product portfolio, indications, benefits and target customers.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with healthcare stakeholders.
