Security Officer

About the role

G4S is seeking a professionally trained Security Officer to protect client premises, assets, information and personnel in the Accra & Tema region. You will act as the first line of defence, ensuring a safe environment through vigilant monitoring, controlled access and calm emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of interiors, perimeters, parking areas and vulnerable zones to detect unauthorized presence or hazards.
• Inspect doors, gates, locks and fire escapes to verify functionality and security.
• Manage entry and exit points, verify IDs, issue visitor badges and maintain accurate visitor logs.
• Provide courteous customer service while maintaining high situational awareness.
• Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, safety hazards or security breaches and complete detailed incident reports.

Required profile

• Senior High School Certificate.
• Valid Ghana Card for identification.
• Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs for an entire shift.
• Successful completion of G4S physical fitness training and a comprehensive background check.
