Senior Business Development Manager – West Africa

About the role

The Senior Business Development Manager will support Enterprise Singapore’s Accra Overseas Centre in driving market entry and expansion for Singapore companies across West and Central Africa. The role focuses on key markets such as Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Senegal, providing business development, market intelligence and partnership development.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and facilitate business opportunities for Singapore companies in Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Senegal.
• Monitor the business environment and deliver up‑to‑date market intelligence, sector research and analysis.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities by tracking growth areas and emerging trends.
• Plan, organise and execute marketing trips, business missions and related activities to support market entry.
• Prepare market reports and insights to enhance Singapore companies’ understanding of the regional operating landscape.
• Establish, maintain and cultivate strategic relationships with government agencies, local partners and industry stakeholders.
• Contribute to engagement strategies that improve collaboration and market access for Singapore enterprises.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development and market intelligence, preferably in an international context.
• Familiarity with West and Central African markets, especially Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Senegal.
• Ability to engage with government agencies, local partners and industry clients.
• Strong analytical, research and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently while supporting the Regional Director.
