Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Cellulant is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead its Site Reliability Engineering team. You will ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of critical payment services that process millions of transactions daily across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ticket lifecycle in Sysaid, ensuring resolution within SLA.
• Proactively monitor services, identify potential issues, and implement preventive actions.
• Escalate and follow up on incidents, keeping stakeholders informed.
• Maintain lightweight databases through continuous archiving and optimization.
• Provide on‑call support during critical periods and system outages.
• Collaborate with development teams on change management and communication.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of experience in SRE or a similar role, with senior or lead responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of Service Level Agreements and experience meeting SLA commitments.
• Hands‑on experience administering Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
