Solutions Architect & Engineering Manager – Telecel Cash

About the role

The Solutions Architect and Engineering Manager will lead the design, development and delivery of Telecel Cash technology solutions while managing a high‑performing software engineering team. This senior role ensures secure, scalable, and highly available platforms that meet business and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the architecture for Telecel Cash platforms, ensuring security, scalability, resilience and performance.
• Develop architecture standards, review solution designs and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Lead and mentor software engineering teams, establishing best practices, code quality standards and technical excellence.
• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery from design through production go‑live, including integration with banks, payment partners, merchants and third‑party platforms.
• Establish architecture governance, ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards, and drive DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
• Manage technical debt, improve engineering processes and platform performance.
• Provide technical leadership during major production incidents and work with Operations to improve availability and reliability.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors and technology partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years leading engineering teams.
• Proven experience designing enterprise‑scale payment or fintech solutions.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns, distributed systems and integration technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
